    Default The perceived coyote attack

The Candian Royal Airforce as the group of Geese have been carpet bombing the sidewalks and parking lots that the place I work. The Facilities Maintenance team decides they need Coyotes decoys to deal with the goose problem. Without a word this plan of attack was set into motion. Late last night these yotes where put into the places to do their nefarious deeds. As early morning shift change took place. This killer yote was ready for mayhem in the dim light of early morning. There were and ever growing group that refused to walk past this critter. Surely enough made for an entertaining day listening to the recounts of the stories. I will has to get an early morning low light photo to post along with the afternoon lit version.

I don't believe these geese have been bothered or the least bit impressed BY these Coyote impostors. I will get some low light photos in the morning

Those geese can leave a nasty mark about. Saw a flock in a cemetery once, what a mess. People were mad. I doubt the pictures of coyotes will do much to persuade them to find another spot though. Curly tailed dogs would be more influential in this regard. The really hyper ones.
Maybe they will bite this one……

Here is an early morning shot.
They are 3 dimensional and actually look real at first glance. We had a pair last year that hatched some young. They would get after you when they had the little ones out. Those were fun times for sure. Certainly mean birds. We have way more of them this year

They are filthy beasts in the ground but so graceful in the air. It doesn’t take them long to figure out a fake dog. Same with crows and a fake owl.

got ambushed in the thick of it one time when I was about 10 on a small island .
that gander came at me fast and hard and was just a beat down on a skinny kid for sure .
his mate just honked like a truck in a somewhat encouraging him on way that made the entire episode quite terrifying .
one thing for certain , I paid WAY more attention when stalking fish in the thick of it after that !

Had one of these come at me to flog me a couple of years ago. I tried my best to hit a hoke run with that unbrella. That goose decided in mid flight to cease it's activities and found a better place to inhabit
