Default Sub 5000# travel trailer ??

Thinking about a travel trailer. Tow vehicle will be a Nissan Frontier, max towing capacity is around 6000#. This will be for wife, myself, dog .
From videos we've watched so far these are our current wants -

    - walk around/island queen bed. Or would two smaller beds be better?
    - dry bath
    - as big a fridge as possible.
    - recliners (with removable table) instead of dinette.

Which brands/models do you recommend? Not in a rush, it could be a year or three, before we buy. Budget - under $15,000. New or used.

I like fifth wheels, for easier towing. However, only one or two is made, in the USA (one is made in Canada), that I could tow with the frontier, and they both have wet baths. They also hold there resale value.

Part of me would like to rehab an older camper, however, costs can add up quickly, to get it exactly how you want.
Although, building a fifth wheel to tow with the frontier, now that's a challenge I'm up for!!

Found this site ^^. The 199rb, and 219rks would work for me, weight wise, although it would be close on the bigger one. What I'm not sure of, is how the heights of the trailers pin box would match up with the frontiers bed height.
Anyone familiar with this? I did email the company, waiting on a response.
In my searching, alot of mid-sized trucks being used for fifth wheels in Europe, australia, new Zealand. They have some nice smaller fifth wheels also.

I also have a Nissan Frontier. When I first got it I joined the Frontier Forum: Nissan Frontier Forum to learn a bit about my new truck. There was a thread by a guy who went through the whole process of buying, setting up and using a camper. Very informative.

If your Frontier has the VTP (Value Truck Package) you can tow about 6300 pounds. The VTP gives you factory installed hitch, wiring for the trailer brakes (but not the controller), an oil cooler and the bed lining, tie-downs and the bed fence for running with your tailgate down.

My Frontier has that package but the biggest thing I have towed was a 5' by 8' Uhaul box trailer. It was very loaded and I towed from Dallas Texas to west Kentucky with no problems at all.

Good luck, and tell us how you made out.

Bullet Crossfire Comfort Travel Trailers - Model 1850RB Floorplan - Keystone RV

Looked at this camper, and a couple of others, on Friday. It would be more than sufficient for the two of us. 8' wide with a slide.
Clint, I'm on club frontier also, very informative site. The truck has the VTP, this is my first vehicle that I truly like. And my first new vehicle.
After much searching online, watching videos, etc, I think we'll stick with a bumper pull.
Over the weekend I ordered the dual arm tow mirrors, and katana 9007 led headlights. Ya, I know, headlights won't help with towing, I've hated these since I got the truck. Once we get closer to a purchase, will get a brake controller and weight distribution hitch. That way where not purchasing alot of items at once.
