    Default Generator enclosure?

I'm making plans to build an enclosure for my generator so I can keep it outside where it is needed. I'm too old and dilapidated to have to drag it out when needed. I'm planning on using a Suncast BMS 4700 shed which seems to be quite popular for projects like this. I'm slowly making a list of things I will need or rather think I will need to do this. One of the items I've been looking for is a reliable solar charger for the battery. This is a lawn mower size battery and does not need rapid recharging (I hope). Any recommendations for the charger or anything else that I need to consider? Thanks all.

Why not just run a trickle charger? I'm assuming you will have AC power close by. That's the way large whole-house generators are set up.

You will need good ventilation, those air cooled engines move a lot of air, it will need to be able to go freely in and out. Might want to run an exhaust fan, and try to fashion a fresh air duct around the flywheel housing.

Thanks but no AC close by. I plan for plenty of ventilation. Attic exhaust fan at one end and a couple 16X16 vents at the other for intake.

How about something like this, I have similar product on some trail cameras and wildlife feeders that work well.

Coleman 12 Volt Solar Battery Trickle Charger, 6 Watt at Tractor Supply Co.

    Hope this helps.
