The cemetery keeps a right of way between the rows of plots in most places. The plots do touch on the sides and maybe one end.

I recenly had a need to wonder about this.
A farming family coverts some land to a cemetary. 100 people buy plots. Does this now mean that 101 people own connected land???

Thanks Gene. Here's the dilemma. The owner of the farm land and cemetary pumps standing water off his fields into the cemetery thus flooding and creating problems. The only answer that I have heard is "he owns the property so I guess he can if he wants". This is where I get lost. If I purchased a plot then I just bought property from him making me the owner. I now have the right to demand that he stop flooding it. Sound correct or not?

Did you get a deed for the plot?
I would have to check with my family to answer that.

I just found the answer...
Owning the deed to a cemetery plot does not make you the owner. Instead, it simply gives you a right to use the plot. In most cases, the cemetery management company remains the owner of the plot itself, so reviewing the company’s rules and regulations is critically important.
This was found on a deed company site.
Thanks all!
