major food chain deliveries to your door

Never tried it , wife is freaked out and wants to avoid the masses and said lets order groceries delivered . I was like ok .first mistake
so I got out my major chain plus card , my credit card and down the road we went ...
man was it a slippery steep sloped disaster
I ordered fruit and vegetables by the lb …..for instance 1 lb jalapenos ….what they delivered was 1 jalapeno
bananas ...2 lbs = 2 bananas and it went on and on until I was like are you kidding me ?
2 bags of chips ….1 has a big hole in it with chips falling out !
95% of all items ordered were replaced with the store brand version other than the fresh fruits and vegetables
I blew up the website , I called the store manager and I texted the actual person picking and delivering the food !
That was Thursday and I still have not heard a word , except for this …..and you will cry when you read this ….
the store manager says we don't deliver ! I was like you most certainly did ! he was like no sir we hire an outside company to do it for us .
then tells me its not their responsibility and I need to contact the delivery service ?
I was like what the %#&( , you hired them ,you call them .
he says just call them and I was like I got no idea who you hired , he was like this …
we have 4 or 5 of them and I was like and ?
he says just call the one that delivered and picked up the groceries .
I said sir , I don't know who you hired or who delivered and how on earth can this be my problem if I ordered off YOUR website ?
he goes on to say so sorry have a nice day
never heard back from the chain on my multiple complaints as of now …
and so far no credit card billing showed up
I am still in the holy mackerel , I wont be doing that again anytime soon
and I am not exaggerating in the least about any of it
p.s. can you imagine being at work busy as heck and your wife texting you about every 2 seconds going what the heck did you do to our groceries order , I had to tell her just stop it and I will figure it out later please

I don’t know what happened to you. But my wife uses that service all the time and loves it. There is a learning curve with it. But we have had great service from the delivery people. I’d say you picked a bad time to try it they are overwhelmed right now.

Hmm interesting story.
I have seen a few local news reports where peoples food delivery had been tampered with, such as a video of the deliverer drinking out of a milkshake then giving it to the customer. Third party delivery is out for me. Thanks for sharing.

BRAND X finally responded 8 days later on we promise to get back within 48 hours response I got when I emailed them and it gets even better , they are saying they are overwhelmed and contact the store manager to resolve it and as you might have seen in my original post I already did. its like go ask mom and mom says go ask dad ….
its highly likely we wont go this route in the future to say the least and all my friends that use it love it ?
