These Trying Times

Prayer and read the Bible is good for calming nerves. We are washing our hands more and using hand sanitizer. When we go to the grocery store we are going at 0700 when it opens to avoid crowds. Having some conditions that put us in a higher risk category we are just staying home. If it would warm up we would hit the lake. There is plenty to do here at home to keep us busy all summer.

There is no time like the present to quit smoking for your overall health. I laid cigarettes down over 25 years ago and am glad I did. Social distancing is recommended keeping 6 ft apart. I would say exercise caution and your best judgement and you should be fine.

Isn't it odd to you that COVID 1 THRU 18 didn't cause any kind of fuss such as COVID 19 is now??? I agree, however, that it is a dangerous time... but not because of COVID 19. It is dangerous because there has been more political grand standing going on over the last decade than anytime that I can remember over my 64 years of life on this earth and it continues to drastically worsen every year that goes by ad nauseum.

Never before have I witnessed a time when a rapidly growing leftist faction of our society, including public officials (senators and congressmen) with openly socialistic (communistic) agendas have sought so blatantly to pollute our young people's minds beginning from the earliest ages with the "common core" curriculum taught in our grade schools and continuing (those same liberal teachings) through our colleges that are now specifically engineered to neuter our country of its rich heritage, history and monuments of that heritage and history;

Never before have I witnessed a time when should we should not strengthen or enforce our country's borders... but instead let anyone come in and we should pay also for their healthcare and their education when we haven't even been that effective at providing for our own people;

Never before have I witnessed a time when politicians have kicked out all of the stops and are now more than willing than ever before to wield fear under the guise of something they have named "wokeness" such as this "keen over awareness" to gain and keep power over the American people; and

Never before have I witnessed a weaponized media that is so 24/7 dedicated to corruption to such a degree that it so dangerously borders what was once called treason and sedition against our president, our country, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and all that it stands for.

Ironically, it's the exact same "fear mongering" that actually serves to keep racism, xenophobia and all of the other hatreds of this world alive and well.

So it is written... so it shall be.

IMHO: This is just another leg in the agenda to take down the current thriving economy and this president and to "remake America" in a whole new image "communism". I hope and pray that they are not successful.

Hi folks. I am nearing 67 years and this virus has me scared. I still work(and need to) at at an Indy TV hub.
We are all friends here, none of us know the answers. I would sure like to know what precaustions if any you all are taking.
What can we do as a group to help each other?
I am a smoker but too late to quit for Corona.
I don't contribute often but I worry at this stage in my life.
What are you all doing?
Since I work in TV there will be no government shutdown in this industry, we must work (unless sick)
I wash my hands so often that my hands are dry and scaly.

Maybe we could all pray together at a designated time each day, force in numbers.

I really have no answers. We all hear about this issue every day more than we want to, I had hours of listening to press conferences from Michigan and Ohio while at work today.
You are all my sisters and brothers and I love you all.

I believe worrying about something you can’t change is senseless.I am however up for a prayer at a certain time for many people to engage in.Prayer May be what works,per a scripture I saw today.It surely can’t hurt,won’t cost anything and could very possibly give people strength to go on with more confidence.One of our biggest threats is politicians and media.You need to be dilligant,research,sift through the so called experts and hopefully believe in something!With prayer I believe the trust is there you just need to ask!I am praying and will continue,to be in a group would only grow the spiritual experience! My two cents!

In my opinion the saddest part of this is the American people have let are elected officials get by with so much corruption and lies in a time we need to know the truth we can’t trust them. None of us knows the truth about how bad this is or is it that bad at all. I was looking at the house bill to help fight this there is more money going to pet programs than to help the people. I pray this is not a political stunt. But at the same time if you go by the numbers it’s not that bad. So are they lying about the numbers or they lying and making people live in fear for there own agendas. It has to be one or the other. Just trust in god.

I know where I stand politically but this virus knows no boundaries when it comes to political affiliations, gender, race, religious and anything else you could possibly imagine. We are all Americans and as a nation we can defeat anything, just look at history. I just pray for wisdom for our elected officials and for our nation and am taking necessary precautions to protect my family which in turn will help the community.

Today everyone one of us should first read Proverbs 12:25 , and follow that with Matt. 6:25-33.
Then, if it ever quits raining down South, or snowing up North, go fishing and think how blessed we really are!
Yes, these are difficult times. But maybe if the vitriol could cease for one day, if we could be concerned about that neighbor who can not get out to shop, if the selfishness of so many would be replaced with concern for others, if there could be a renewed respect for the elderly and if we could put aside the partisanship just for today, then maybe tomorrow will be better. Then follow up with I Kings 9:13. Selah
