    Default Vehicle GPS

Anyone using a Garmin GPS in your vehicle and if so which one and how do you like it. I've been using TomTom for a few years and get along fine with them but I see Garmin has a model with a road camera build in and uses your phone to give you weather updates and other benefits. Just wondering if they are any good and worth the price.

I have a 65 I think. It has been good except I had to buy the red light camera detector add on for $25 and have yet to get it to work. My new radar radar detector has one in it so I quit trying

I've got a Garmin Nuvi that's VERY OLD .... like $100 to update per year old .... but, it works just fine for how I use it, which is sparingly. If I traveled much I'd get a newer one, but probably just the same size. I do like the "free lifetime updates" deal. And I can probably get a new one for much less than what I paid for the one I have.

The lifetime updates is the way to go. If my TomTom would still work correctly I would just hang on to it, but since it's having trouble I want to update. The Garmin with the camera is nice and it has many bells and whistles. It even lets you use you phone with touching you phone by using bluetooth. I'll probably get it but just wondering if any of you are using a later model.
    Thanks all.

I had a Tom Tom for years but it eventually had to much info stored and I had to select a region - states I ended up with Ks Co TX Mo and a couple three others maybe. I bought a cheap Garmin "around 80 90 $ off ebay" and really like it so far - much better unit than the Tom Tom.

I have a Garmin that I have had a couple years now. It works good. But all i use now is my phone...its really better because it updates automatically every 10 minutes and if a road is washed out or blocked because of a wreck or construction or something it will tell me ahead of time and detour me around it.
