    Default A workable meal plan

For those of you that would prefer to eat healthier and lose a few pounds but hate the though of a diet, I've found a plan that works.
Not an actual diet but a simple list of what you can eat. Don't worry it's extensive.
My wife and I are averaging a 2# per week drop and are never hungry.
My typical breakfast pictured here is sauteed potatoes and bell pepper cooked in a 3 egg omelet. Bacon and salsa on the side plus a banana with OJ and coffee.
Now there's stuff you can't eat that are probably on your everyday diet but I honestly have found better substitutes.
I'm not selling anything just wanted to share for any that might benefit from it.
Its called Whole 30 and you can Google it. I'll share the list and some tips I've learned if there is any interest here. Name: 20190420_070834.jpeg

I have looked at the Whole 30, Keto plans and a few others because it has been clear to me that since disability I do not move or do many of the things I used to do to stay more active.
I am going to a registered dietician with the VA on Friday to discuss a few of the different options that I've been looking at. I'd love to take off about 25 to 30lbs.

Special K, would you share your dietician's thoughts on the plans, or a better one.

I will be glad to brother. It sounds like SeaRay and Senaca SS are having good results that certainly seem encouraging.
I've already told the wife that I'm gonna be totally committed to whatever the dietician says.

That's the key to success. Both you and the wife need to be committed to doing this together or it is difficult to do.
I've actually enjoy us preparing meals together. Something we got away from in the past few years. Too easy to run around the corner to a restaurant. I must have 15-20 within a mile of my house. Last time I checked, there were over a 100 restaurants in our " little " town.

It's pretty simple. Google Whole30 and print the shopping list .If it's not on thete you can't have it. There are lots of menus on line. I'll share a simple and delicious one. Publix sells an 8 oz pack of cubed ham. Put it in a crock pot with 1/2# fresh green beans, 4 or 5 red skin potaties and 1.5 cups chicken broth. Cook 3 hours onhigh. Very good.
