Still too chilly in NY but soon. I know fish are biting in the 45 degree water according to a friend who only fishes from the bank on different waters and his numbers are excellent depending on the day. I did try my new designs in my pond (no bites) and I'm still experimenting with new ideas in the basement workshop while smoking my pipe with a cup of 8 O'clock coffee and binge watching the Sopranos.

Weather here can't make-up it's mind. Been seeing posts of some catches, but I haven't been out lately. Maybe in a week or so.

Yes Sir!! Same here. Maybe the warm weather is here for a while now. I'm breaking out my float tube today, and make sure it didn't spring no leaks over the winter, then make sure the insulated bibs are good, and I have a couple spots I want to try. They are on small water, nothing over 6 h.p. and no launch ramps, but I have gotten some good crappie their as well have seen some good ones caught their by others in float tubes and kayaks while II was stuck on shore. So before the kids are out of school and yukking it up every where, including my fishing holes, I gonna get try to get some crappie. Water may still be cool up here, but the fish still need to eat, right??

It's not the cold so much as the 25-30mph wind! Last night it went down to 19 degrees! At least the wind is supposed to be less than 20 mph / max temp 46.
