    Default SNO-BRUMS

Well, most of you folks on this forum don't have this problem, but up here in New England, snow removal from the top of your truck is a pain.....not even considering you can be fined if it is not removed within a day of a storm!

So, if you are from this neck of the woods, has anyone ever tried these "Sno-Brums" for removing snow from your truck roof? The older I get, the more difficult I find it to accomplish. According to the hype, these foam style brooms suppose to do a better job with the removal and yet protect the paint job as well.

So....I pulled the trigger. Now I just have to wait for the next storm to see if it was worth it. And with the way this winter's been going, I won't have to wait long! If anyone has had any experience with these, please chime in.

That’s pretty cool. Looks like it would work good. We usually don’t get enough snow here to justify it. Although this weekend they are forecasting 6-8 inches which is a LOT for us.

Looks like that would be the ticket for heavy wet snow. From the looks of forecasts your going to wear one out this winter.

Hope you don’t wear it out! Isn’t going to snow here as I put my snow tires on last Monday!

The down side is if you have some of it frozen to the truck. Then that isn't going to work very well. We buy the adjustable handle, scraper/brush, and it works just fine. Here in Penna, you are required to remove all snow and ice from the vehicle, before driving. The fine isn't cheap either.

The fine here is pretty steep as well. I'm thinking that I'll use this device to remove the heavy snow from the roof.....then start up the truck and let the heat melt away the remaining ice, if any. I don't see me using any kind of "scraper" on the truck's new paint. But ya gotta do something, right?

Something like this used on the top of the truck might work easily too. It's made for the windshield but I bet it would work for the top too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have one for my car when i'm at work. I park in the garage at home so if it snows while i'm at work I don't have to freeze to clean my car off.

You could always spray something to melt the ice. What about denatured or rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle? Thank goodness I'm retired, so if shopping or at church, is the only time we have to worry about it.
