The thought of being lost inside your own mind is frightening.
My wife and I watched a documentary on NetFlicks last night called "Alive Inside". Our family has suffered the effects of Alzheimer's disease and nursing homes. My Grandfather was in a vegetative state for well over the last 5 years of his life from it. Prior to his having to be under full-time nursing care, he was one of the kindest and most generous men who ever lived. His personality totally changes at the onset of Alzheimer's.
This film shows studies one group is doing on the therapeutic effects of music on Alzheimer and dementia patients. I am proud to admit I sat in my living room with tears running down my face watching this.I encourage all here to watch it and think about supporting this cause. The pharmaceutical companies aren't real thrilled about this and that in itself makes it the more important.

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
That is definitely a frightening prospect
