    Default Some assembly required

I thought I was past putting together toys for Santa but my wife bought a play stove for the granddaughter to have at our house. Three and a half hours later it is assembled. Had to get a magnifying glass to read the instructions. Just wondered what you other santa's helpers may be assembling. Oh yeah now I am starting on a sports quad 6 in one for the 6 months old. Not much assembly but it has 23 decals.

I know the feeling, with my daughters now the grandkids. As ribit said it's worth it to see their faces Christmas morning. PS Santa looks like he's had a real long day.. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I feel your pain,Whiz. I used to have to stay up at midnight putting things together, back in bed by 4 am, then up at 6. Man those were the days. My youngon sure thought santa felt she was a good girl. Nice pic.

I always ended up having parts missing and either had to leave out stuff, or try to put it together the best way I knew how. Sometimes the instructions would be backwards "if you can believe that" and sometimes they would be missing completely. You know from my gps post that I'm far from the brightest bulb in the pack, so think of me trying to put something together.

I have learned over the years, raising three daughters, and now having grand children that the three most dreaded words in the english language are ....

    SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

But all in all the faces makes it all worthwhile !!!

Default while we're on the subject -

Have ya'll noticed how they package things now, it's like they don't want
you to be able to get 'em out? Especially the dolls and stuff now, have
15 or more little wire twisty-ties on them. I finally remembered a pair
of Wiss metal snips I used to carry when I was in the telephone lineman
biz - work goood! I can have Barbie out of her package in no time flat now,
and not miss the whole show anymore.

Santa brought my oldest a swing set one year. After several hours in the cold and a 12 pack my friends and I had had enough so I took the box it came in and wrote the following note:

    Brandy,
I must apologize but since I am on a very tight schedule I was not able to finish putting your swing set together. I have asked you Dad to finish it for me. Merry Christams and I'll see you next year.

She took it hook, line and sinker......
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

    Birddog,
I shall remember that note and possibly use it this Christmas!
