    Default Bad News for Us

Brenda and I get cortisone shots at the Camden office. The service Dr is great. Hate to see these crooks shut down a needed service because of greed. Medicare fraud. Lock them up! We will deal with the pain.

Dozens of Tennessee pain clinics to close this month

Comprehensive Pain Management, also known as Anesthesia Services Associates, is headquartered in Middle Tennessee but runs 60 pain management clinics and employs about 250 medical professionals, according to federal court documents.

Three months after its former CEO was indicted for Medicare fraud, a giant pain management company with clinics in 12 states is shutting locations throughout Tennessee and beyond.
Comprehensive Pain Specialists has made no public statements saying why or when the closures are occurring, but Tennessean reporters have confirmed current or looming closures at more than two dozen clinics.

My wife has a lot of pain and joint problems (lupus, ra, degenerative spine) and when the laws changed she had to go to them in Knoxville because her rheumatologist could no longer prescribe her medication. Without all the details I knew something was wrong with them from the start. That answers a lot of questions. She has since gotten proper care. Would "I feel your pain" be out of line?

It is hard to find help. Most drs are not taking new patients. When the laws changed, most drs around here just quit pain management from fear of government. Several drs were sanctioned over pain pills for the elderly.

Those changes are one of the reasons her rheumatologist for over 30 years retired and the one that took over the practice won't and can't help with pain management. Life ain't fair , but God is good.

Just don’t understand the reasoning of passing these blanket style laws, when cases are so varied like individuals that are suffering. Knee-jerk decisions serve nobody.

Hey, it is another justification for raising campaign money. Their job is not to pass sensible laws. Their main job is to get re-elected.
