Default Titans new hire at head coach

I have been a very loyal Titans fan since DAY 1, and loyal to my beloved Houston Oilers from Earl Campbell's rookie season thru their very last game in 1998. I am very disappointed in their selection of their new head coach. Losing record at both his other head coaching jobs; now he's running the show in Nashville.

I'm still a fan, but right now I'm thinking they just threw away the next two or three seasons which equals more losing for us to have to endure. Not thrilled here in south Arkansas! Luv Ya Blue! GTT

Right there with ya! Seems the decision was made before the interviews even started. If the new GM will effectively use free agency and the draft, it might get better. I doubt any coach could do well with the current talent level. Time will tell! Problem is, too many years have already been wasted.

I hate to see the Titans stay at the bottom and lose consistently. Some teams consistently seem to win and some just don't. I do not think Mularky is the man to get it done! I do not want the Titans to be the "Bungles" of 2016-2020. Mariota is a winner. I hope he doesn't get used to losing.

The Oilers were tough except for a few years in the early 80s and mid 90s. Otherwise, opposing teams had their hands full with the Houston Oilers! Steve McNair and Eddie George brought that attitude and style of play to Nashville and those guys were winners and so was their coach, Jeff Fisher. He's still a winner. Maybe his time had come with the Titans, but they've been perineal losers since he left.

Bad draft picks with Pacman Jones (playing out his career in Cincinnati AFTER he grew up), Vince Young (gifted athlete, but too dumb to learn an NFL playbook), Kenny Britt (couldn't stay out of trouble and couldn't catch cold), Jake Locker (scrappy, but fragile) and latest bust, Bishop Sankey (NOT quite the Darren Sproles player he was compared to). They better make this year's pick count OR trade it for some other team's #1 and #2 this year and next year. That's how the Cowboys built their dynasty teams of the early 90's........through the draft by picking winners, not busts.

Being an Arkansas fan, I can tell you all that Alex Collins can run the ball like Chris Johnson did. He'll be a steal in the 3rd round. GTT

Get a good RB, O line, and secondary. Receivers are decent. Most of all remember that continuing to do the same thing expecting different results is the definition of insanity!

Anxious to see how the draft plays out myself. Longtime Bengals fan here.

Lost interest in Pros when Tom Landry was fired. Most today's players are a bunch of whinny hotdoggin' juicers.

OK, the draft is over. Being an Arkansas fan, I was hoping for Alex Collins or Jonathan Williams at RB, but I know what Henry can do. He'll give the Titans a 1-2 punch in the running game with Murray. I would fully expect #1 pick Conklin and also former Razorback, big nasty Sebastian Tretola, to not only make the team, but start in September! I think the Titans did well in improving the O-line, getting a good RB, and improving the D.

I still don't like Mike Mularky, but we shall see in September. I'll be watching. Right now, I suspect they'll go 6-10 or 7-9. This will be the year that the drought vs the Colts will end. Titans over the Colts this year in Nashville, for sure! GTT

What did I say in January! Mularky has got to go! Terrible gameplan against the worst D in the league........seriously, only 10 points vs the Raiders? Titans didn't look that bad against the Vikes, who are surprisingly 3-0, but barring a truckload of penalties committed by the Lions AND a miracle catch on 4th down into triple coverage........Titans should be 0-3. Already disappointed, BUT no one in the AFC South really looks impressive and if Mariota gets hot and the D steps up, who knows? I still say this year we'll beat the Colts! GTT

4th and 6 and the coach calls a 2 yard pass play! Idiots calling the shots in Nashville. GTT
