Default Dec 25 th one of our Dauchshunds Died in my arms

He was way over weight and became Diabettic .... for three years .. when he ate, he had to have Insulin . We had 3 new bottles of insulin . A check with Vets in Ruston, I found out that Four Paws Rescue had one Dog that needed 28 units twice a day. The Bottles cost $60 each and 6 containers of 100 insulin syringes. Two years ago I took several 10 LB boxes of Milk Bone treats to Four Paws Rescue.
I came home , Got the Insulin and Syringes and went to Four Paws. It was a big Surprise when I showed up with the Insulin they needed. When I returned home I thought I would look at the dogs up for Adoption. Wow !!! There was a picture of Buddy the Galoot that climbed over the fence two weeks ago .... We had hundreds of pictures of our Weinnie Fur Babys but not many of the Galoot. I finally found a good picture that had the date on it, The Galoot is a Senior Citizen ... 14 Years old .. Delma had to work a little Magic to print out the picture for me. Buddy was happy to see me, Being in jail for two weeks . He has always been an Inside Dog , and he was Freezing his ars off . The Loot is happy to be home ... They say a picture is worth a thousand words . Our other dogs have a Micro Chip , Buddy needs one too

That's awful. Some people see just a dog, but they become our kids and it's painful to lose them. We lost one of our Yorkies last May to cancer, but he became diabetic five years ago. He too went blind shortly after he became diabetic; I didn't know that is common with diabetic dogs. Eye surgery brought his vision back and gave him another five years of flying at break-neck speeds around the house. I'm truly sorry for your loss.
