    I might start going in may before schools let out..sept is getting hurricanes pretty regularly and it will only be getting worse as time goes on….i like the end of sept because the winds are like summer but the temps are starting to fall a little…may will be wind city but probably less tropical weather…..this will probably be the black dogs last trip out there….sad to see them get old…

    It is rough for sure. Wife had the Dane put down a couple of months ago. She was old. Have a spoiled Mini Bulldog and and equally spoiled Shepard. They are life children. The little Bulldog has made it his business to be into anything I am doing in the evenings. They have a way of getting to you. Used to be some great flounder and speck fishing on the pier on the island. The wife and I visited my folks first part of April this year. They were moving a lot of sand around on the Island then.

    Yeah. Still moving sand from hurricane sally last year. I did fish from that pier 2 year’s ago

    Used the be great fishing when the rocks at the base were not sanded in. Caught many a flounder between the house and the shore
