    Well it’s still raining here and I was digging through the freezer to look for something different to cook, then up jumps a qt rip lock bag with 2 cut up squirrels. YEA that’s what’s for dinner. Name:  IMG_0284.jpg

Size:  96.0 KBSpot is keeping an eye out towards the farmers field he put out 2 propane cannons to try to keep the hogs out of his corn. One goes off at 10 min and the other at 15 min intervals. Does anyone know how long a 5 gal tank last?

    5 gallon tank lasts way to long if your the neighbor.
    Not near long enough if it’s your corn!
    I have no idea.

    I remember sharing squirrel stew with my grandpa and grandma. Great meals by a great country cook. Almost 50yrs since they passed. I miss them both. Thanks for the post, prompting their memory.
    Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

    Them tree rats sure are tasty! Mine never make it to the freezer, either I eat them fresh or I give them to my 88 year old mother. You should see her eyes light up when I walk in with a bag full all cleaned and ready for the pot.

    I love them too, but it too bad that there is little place left to hunt them here. There are more of them in the city than anywhere out in the country side. Storms and progress have slowly destroyed all my hunting grounds.
