When you get an Adult dog they Recognize the name they have been called .. I would never call her Lightening so I called her Precious, until I opened the door one morning and the Cold hit her. So she became Chilly for a while and she even liked to wear a Candy Cane sweater and she was better house Trained than Boy dogs ... We Decided Precious would be the Best name because it fit her...Personality .... We had to change the Day from Wed to Friday with Tal as another Surgery was needed there -- Precious we then knew was not in the Puppy Stage as she had a full set of Teeth and out of that playful stage of eating everything in the house --- the trip soon showed me that she gets Carsick easily, starting with slobbering at about 30 miles. At 60 Miles I was Cleaning up the Mess... I Started about 30 minutes early -- so when she started Drooling I stopped so she could get her Land Legs back, But, OOOH she was sick when we finished the 200 mile trip to South Louisiana.. Tal checked her for a Micro chip and a complete checkup and shots ---- Now I Know why the Creator sent her to us -- she was Heartworm Positive. So we started the Best treatment, and she can not get a new Rabies shot untill she is Clear of the Parasites and at the Minimum 6 months to a year. As small as she is Heart worms can Kill in Less than 2 years. Advanced Heart worms in Dogs the Dog will develop a Cough, While the Parasites prevents the Valves from working Properly causing the blood flow to the Body , starving for the Blood needed for good health... Lack of Blood Flow causes SEVERE MUSCLE CRAMPS and a very painful death. Tal said She is about 5 Years old and 100 % pure Dachshund even though I thought her legs were a Little Long for Her Breed --- If Yall Beg me I fill get the Wife to Post Her Picture
