    Default Rainy Day Project

I got a call from a friend who had some turtles that she removed from her crawfish pond and asked if I wanted them. This is someone I barter my Sacalait with. Sometimes I work harder at being retired than I did when I had a job, cleaning all of these is going to take a while. But anyway I see Turtle Soup in my future. Name: IMG_0559.jpg

Now that is a nice mess worth taking the time to clean. Love me some turtle sauce piquant.

Reminds me of a time when I put a turtle trap out in my pond because my brother wanted some turtles. Well after giving him 49 red ear turtles, he said I DON'T WONT anymore!!! lol

I didn't realize anyone ate the red-ears....thought it was just snapper/soft shell. Interesting.

    Enjoy!

I’ve never eaten turtle and never seen one cleaned, so I watched a couple of YouTube videos to see what it was all about. What really impressed me was the complexity of cleaning one. Would really like to try it.
