Default When Surge Protectors dont work ---

It is time to Raise that White flag --- A Steady Rain delayed going to sit in the Deer Stand early this morning. started the Coffee pot and everything went to H in a Hand basket--- Some lights Blinked others would not work at all ---- Beeps were ringing all over the house .... I Grabbed my Meter and there was 36 Volts instead of 120V ---- Ran for the Main Breaker as 3 Light Bulbs Exploded.. Smoke Boiling in the Bedroom and never a single Smoke Alarm had gone off... A Surge Protectors Job is to provide some Protection from Over Voltage and High Spikes in the Power ---- Low Voltage causes High Amperage draw but not enough to pop a circuit Breaker. We lost a Flat screen TV -- Dish Net Hopper -- Two Clocks & Clock Radio. I got the main Off before it ate the Expensive stuff... Dish said Two weeks to get here before we get TV again --- 150 Recordings of The X-Files up in smoke --- do you think I might get to Read a Book or Two ---- or go Fishing

A similar incident years ago resulted in the electric company buying me a new central air unit.
