    Default Lightening Strike ---

Three days ago there was a Storm that came into south Arkansas from Miss. Just before it got to El Dorado it turned south. One of those bad ones, with lots of ground strikes. We got almost 3 inches of rain in less than a Hour --- then as the worst of the storm was past we had a strike here that was like Dynamite went off inside the house. After a quick check all looked ok inside the house so I thought the strike was one of the Pecan trees or the Pines behind the house -- all those trees would take 3 to 4 people to reach around,, and they have been struck several times. We had just installed a Hunter Ceiling Fan in our bedroom last week .. It has a new LED light ring -- the fan is remote control --- the light quit. then the next day the Power supply for DISH Hopper bedroom 2 and three were both blown , not putting out 12 V ... Dish sent us two new power supplys. Bedoom 3 wooked with the new supply. Bedroom 2 didnt. It took most of the day to figure out that the High Def channel 1 got fried in the Joey but Channel 2 was ok -- but the strike had not killed the Joey totally .. WE have a Double Wide -- so the Power Pole is about 40 ft from the house ... In the Main 200 Amp Panel it got a 30 Amp breaker for the storage Building . I had also put a disconect outside the building . It got Both Glass fuses.. I feel blessed that these things that were all it took out . All the Major things were Spared ....
