Default My lil Boat has never been checked by Game and Fish

While fishing in Bro's 20 ft monster we were checked on the Bone during Tourneys. We had what was needed and wearing our jackets... But I really was unsure of the Exact requirements for Boats less than 16 feet.. I did not have a USCG approved Throw-able Cushion . when I got On Line one of them said Meets USCG requirements for boats 16 feet and larger ... Wonderful I don't need one. when reading comments a person said having one in the Boat was cheaper than A $300 ticket. So, I picked out one and bought it. USCG might not say I need things , But Game and Fish in each State could be different and have rules that include all Water Craft.. anybody out there with small boats been checked and what did they ask for --- Thanks..

    Been years ago
An officer did a thorough check on my equipment in the parking lot before I put in
Any & all life vest that had any tear or the print on the inside of it was faded they were trash, he shook the fire extinguisher and couldn’t feel the powder move so it was trash
    Just gave a warning
But if he did this on the water was $75 for each item,
Not ten minutes went by and two guys paddle up in a freshly restored wooden canoe & had the hull numbers & state stickers stuck to boat with tape, didn’t want the #s permanently attached, $75 for each one on both sides
If ya have running lights make sure they work

That is sort of what I mean - You are Ark, Here in La from what I hear small Boats without Power [ TM ] are not required to have REG Numbers I just think each State could have its own Rules. Thanks for the reply

No good reason to not have a throwable device with 10-12 feet of line attached in the boat. Never know when you might need it to save someone.
