    Default Concealed Carry Training

Yesterday (7/21) I did my 8 hour training to re-new my CC permit....training is required every 5 years.....this was my 3rd class....did pretty good at the firing range with my 9 mm Beretta PX4 Storm...12 rounds at 5 feet, 12 at 10 feet and 12 at 15 feet....could only load 6 rounds at a time....learned a new 2 hand grip that I love....only jerked one shot way off.....

I think you killed him Bruce. Great shooting and the Beretta PX4 Storm is my choice of CC.

Good shooting. CC holders are already saving lives all over the country.

The instructor did not give it a name....he was a former US Marshall..it looks kinda like this, keeping the thumbs close together and parallel, left palm in the other...

Me too, especially with the size pistol we carry. I've never shot one of those 380 or small 9 mm but held one once, I don't think I would trust myself hitting the side of the barn with them. I saw a few in my class using them and they had trouble hitting the target, some actually missed completely.

Here was my target. Lower cluster was 12 rounds at 5', middle cluster at 10' with reloading after 6 rounds. The rounds were fired off at about 3 second intervals. The upper cluster or line was rapid fire all 12 rounds. Since there was no marks on the paper for each set I just shot one hole and used it for my target rather than put all in one group.

Two more years before I have to re -certify, I may apply for the lifetime one this time. The difference is with the 5 year one I can buy any weapon on the spot without a background. With the lifetime one you have to have a background check for any purchase. I don't plan to buy anymore, I have plenty.

I have found it necessary when shooting my Glock 43 to make trigger contact with my trigger finger closer to the joint in order to achieve proper alignment and I have not sacrificed accuracy by doing so.
