SEE! Now I need to rewire the boat accesories. The TM side is good. I know when I got the boat and rewired every thing back to how it was origionally done. Just installed new wires and fittings. The light mounts are grounded to the hull but the bildge/switch is not. The fish finders are done correctly. The float switch is grounded to the hull but I added that a few years ago. As far as the livewell it it wired correctly but I dont use it. My fish are either keepeer(icechest) or for fun(swimmers). I am tbinking about turning the livewell into a storage.

I guess this explains the corrosion on the transom.

2002 I didn't mean to cause you more work but rather to save you from some later. I'd hate to see that pretty new transom full of worm holes.

No worries. Id rather have it done right. I thought I did it correctly when I had got the boat back in 2008ish. The whole deck was rotted and I stripped it to the hull rewired, re decked and put all new electronics. The boat was fine just the motor was giving me trouble. I have worked on motors for a few years just not 2 stroke and that was the problem. I was not familliar with outboards enough to get them 100% tuned or even 85%. Either way last year I rebuilt my new to me motor and it is doing OK (not 100% but 95%).

As far as the adding the wires it isnt going to be hard. I'm just going to run a ground to those parts that need them. Splice them to a heavier wire and connect that to the battery. Heck the bildge isnt but 2 feet at most from the battery. The hardest one will be the bow light, but I have a wire fishing tool somewhere that I will run it to the front under the deck in one of the ribs. All I have are lights, bildge, livewell, and fish finders( they are correct) they all go to a fuse pannel butnot all of them go back to the buss bar for ground. The buss bar is grounded to the hull but is connected directly to the battery through wire. I wounder if I should insulate that? I'll have to check into that.

For the Bow light, Tie two wires to the wire [power] that goes to light back to the switch... Use that wire to pull in the new pair... check to make sure the wire is not wrapped where it will not pull easily first.

That would work but I dont know how it is run. The power comes from the console to the bow. I think the easiest way would be to fish it down the center rib back to the battery.
