Well, the game cameras showed nothing last night, but, after looking at frog/toad droppings on the internet and reading your opinions I'm convinced that's what did it. Thank you all for taking part in this important scientific scatalogical investigation.
I stayed up all night last night just to watch a couple of toads on my patio. No picture proof, but the toad frogs are guilty.

The droppings to me look like from a Gecko after eating crickets. When my son went to Thailand on training while in the military, he brought me one. A big one too. Since on a military aircraft, no customs were involved. This one was about 6-8" long, and as mean as can be. A Tokay Gecko I believe. He lived for probably 6 -7 years before he finally died. Tore those crickets up.
I will vote for the culprit to be a toad. I have seen the same type of droppings on our driveway and sidewalk. Never seen a snake or gecko out there, but see toads all of the time. They come and eat the bugs that are drawn to our outside lights.
