    Default Anyone fish Jordan lately?

    Has anyone fished Jordan lately?

Jordan used to be great this time of year according to my old notes. I moved closer to Virginia and now my son and I spend most fishing days on Kerr for stripers.

We were hoping to hunt down some bigger crappie so we dusted off the long poles and tight lined Falls a few times. We found some small crappie, but it was hard to stay off the perch. We’re going to get down to Jordan soon and have look.

    Same as it ever was?

    Nater,

I got out on Jordan about week and a half ago for a few days and it fished really well on the upper end of the lake. I didn't get to hit all of the spots I had planned because I got on a good bite and as they say, don't leave fish to find fish! It was a mixture of open water scoping in the channels and structure, although the fish on structure required a little bit more convincing at times.

Find the bait and they won't be too far away.

Big fish was 14 3/4" - 1.85# and a metric crap-ton between 1# --> 1 1/2#. I will say that I lost an absolute giant (guess is 16'-17" range) at the top of the water...... big time picture fish and would have been turned back so atleast got to see her.

It should just continue to improve as they get that fall feedbag on.

My son and I traveled down to Jordan a week ago Saturday and I went down solo Tuesday. Thanks for the good reports, it inspired us to make the trip. It was fun to get back on some of the water I used to spend so much time on. We caught plenty of fish and brought home some good ones to eat.
