Thread: Lake Waccamaw

Does anyone here fish Lake Waccamaw? I have fished there several times but have not caught much, a few flat fish. However one day a few years ago my son found the Largemouth Bass and caught 8 or 10 in the same area, right in the mouth of a small creek coming from the side landing.

It's been years since I went. Definitely not the easiest place to fish. That lake has huge fish in it though and the locals catch fish there that are unreal, all species. Right now I'd say work the shore, all of those piers and the grass beds in the lake. That's usually the key spots ( grass beds) after the fish leave the bank.

Some of those locals wade and shellcracker fish and catch some hammers.
