Many reports of them moving up shallow and feeding. Without a cold spell to drive then back down they will be shallow and feeding

As soon as I see the guys night fishing off the New Light Road bridge. Haha

I start looking up in the deep creeks as soon as the water temp starts to rise a little past it’s coldest point of the year. I mainly fish Falls Lake and start to see bait and crappie moving out of the deepest spots in late January, depends on the weather though. It’s March now so we have a mixed bag of prespawn/post spawn and tons of small males and white perch.

Fish were caught in a few feet of water last weekend in the BigEye Crappie Man Tournament.

Watch the water temp. Crappie will start to spawn around 60 degrees.
    Gotta go, fish on!
