We had a tourny there 12/31/2022. Took over 13lbs to win. Winner had three (that I know of) over 2lbs. Plenty of fish and they're excellent quality. As fat as I've seen in NC.

Thanks for the reply, hadn't heard of any tournament being held there and very few if any personal reports. I thought the "Big Eye" trail usually fished there but have not seen anything out of them. What tournament group are you speaking of??

BigEye hasnt started yet. Central Carolina Crappie is the trail. CrappieDC memmber- Gobbler runs it. Several of us fish it. We fish High Rock, Tuckertown, Tillery, Badin, Jordan, Harris, and Wylie. Next tourny is tomorrow at Tuckertown. Come on out to the weigh-in at Flat Creek off River Road. Fishing ends at 2:30, and likely start weighing in around 3:00.

Great group of guys, good fellowship, and none of the clique-like atmosphere you may run into at tourneys.

The week we fished it, it was on fire. If a man wanted a freezer haul, Harris was really showing out with a ton of quality fish. A lot of us typically toss 1.25lb and larger back, but there was a pile of 1.00-1.25ish fish to be caught (and larger). I know that place can shut down like a light too, so it might be off now, not sure.

What was the results of the tournament. Were there any boats that fished Harris; if so, how did their catches stack up against those fishing Jordan???

Looks as if I was incorrect in my thinking that the crappie fishing/catching in Harris had gone south, thank goodness that does seem to be the case. Thanks for all the replies and comments. By the way how is fishing there for bream and shellcrackers???
