Default Southeast Crappie Alliance tourney. Dec 17 Jordan lake

    Southeast Crappie Alliance

Great job Newly and all the other folks involved in yesterday's Southeast Crappie Alliance tournament on Jordan. Thursday's rain caused the lake to go up two feet and Friday's practice was terrible. The water in the S-curves was flowing backwards. It was hard to catch a decent fish at all.

But yesterday, with some of the best crappie fishermen from SC, NC and VA competing, Jordan was at it's best. Many 2 lb.'ers were caught with the top two teams at 13.90 and 13.88. It was not just the quality, but the quantity of good fish that were caught yesterday and in practice. As a quality crappie lake, Jordan did not disappoint.

Congrat's to the winning teams. Before the tournament started I was pretty confident it would take 14 pounds to win and the top two teams were right there. Thanks to organizers and competitors as well for a very enjoyable day!!

Great to see everyone. Congratulations to gobbler for winning and others in the prizes. I love being a part of this trail. Excited to see where it goes. We do have some amazing fisherman in our area.
