Default MP Church Tournament 2022 Update

-Any questions please call me 704-791-3778
-Sign in and weigh in at Lakeview Restaurant/Wildlife Landing 9185 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury - sign in 5am-6am, be on time.
-Entry numbers given at sign in for $100 by reverse draw out at weigh in. Last number remaining wins.
-See other MP Church post for complete details.
-Pink ribbons for live division on trolling motors and yellow ribbons for non live division will be given out at sign in.
-Tournament monitors will be watching throughout the day for any rule violations.
-The non live division money is the most you will ever fish for so talk it up and lets get new people involved with tournament fishing.
-Challenging all Crappie.com'ers come out and fish. Cheapest entry fee and highest payout of any tournament.
-Remember the parent/child and male/female divisions. You can have more than 1 child in your boat as long as the child is less than 12 years old.
-Prizes for all kids who fish.
-We pay 11th place $50 so weigh in your fish even if you don't think you can win.
-"Skins Game" is $300 this year for the exact weight of 9.00 pounds.
-This is a fund raiser so lets make it a "fun" raiser as well. Please respect other boats area and practice good sportsmanship at all times.
-Free Hot Dogs and water at weigh in provided by Lakeview Restaurant.
-Help us make this year the largest turnout ever!

Yes, at this time it is. Will continue to watch the storm. We fished in a hurricane 2015 but had only 11 boats. This is a fund raiser so we need as many boats as we can get. I've checked other trails and did not see October 8th as a conflict so that could be an alternate date if needed.

Hopefully it doesn't get moved. Not sure if I can swing next weekend. Looking forward to fishing in some sporty conditions hopefully.

i'm hoping the weatherman misses it and its not bad at all, cloudy with a light breeze would make for a nice day

Rain/shine/wind I’ll be there. Doubt safety would be a factor. People letting rain and a breeze hurt their feelings, maybe. Lol

IF, IF, IF the tournament has to be moved would the 8th or 15th be best? Chances are on the 8th the lake will be muddy and trashy. The 15th the lake should be settled down if no more weather comes in. The problem with the 15th is there is no other option if the 15th is bad. Yadkin fishes on the 22nd and Central Carolinas on the 29th. Plus our church schedule gets full and I will be involved in other church events. Comments needed on the choices of the 8th or 15th. We will consider all (intelligent) opinions, LOL. We will make a decision to postpone or not no later than Thursday. Thanks for understanding.

Take my opinion for what you paid for it, but barring lightning, or 30-40mph sustained winds like Capp suggested, I vote we fish. It’ll be miserable, but in an “embrace the suck” kind of way thats oddly fun when it’s over and looking back at it. I respect that you’re trying to draw a crowd for the fundraiser but SC has a big tourny on the 8th. Bobcats Trail starts 8th as well, and you’ll lose some teams to that as well for the guys fishing their points events. I understand you’re trying to do what’s best for all involved and attract a crowd, but in terms of safety, in light of events at Milroc, and I know I heard some(a) loud voice(s) last year refusing to fish above Leonards no matter what was being caught there, you can only make things so safe. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. As for the 15th, you’ve got guys wanted to prefish for the other tournies later in the month. No disrespect intended, personally with limited time, I’d have to make arrangements on a few fronts for the 8th work since I was banking on the 1st, and the 15th, I’d already devoted to pre fishing for other tournies.
