    Default Falls Lake?

Anybody have any luck lately on Falls?

I’ve been out a few times the last month or so and haven’t been able to get a consistent pattern. I’ve gotten a few up shallow, but my best fish have been in deeper water.

I have family in town and it would be nice to get them into some good fish. They’re camping on the lake, so we should get out a bunch this week.

There were some nice fish weighed in at the tournament at Falls on Saturday. If I remember, there were three teams with over 11 pounds. Wind was tough, but some good fish were caught. If I can get the results, I'll post them. We're back on Falls the next two Saturdays.

Had our second tournament on Falls this past Saturday. Couple of teams did very good, but it was tough for most of us. If you wanted a hundred 6"-8" fish, we could have easily caught them. Tournament-sized fish was another story. We have one more tournament this coming Saturday on Falls.

I have one editorial comment--I will be so glad to get back to Jordan and Harris!!!!!! After this tournament, you will not see me on Falls at all. Not with good lakes like Jordan and Harris nearby.

Absolutely. They have that LiveScope dialed-in. Just about all the big fish have been coming from one small area on the lake. Surely there are other places that have two pounders, but I can't find it.

Its funny how certain lakes are like that. High Rock has big fish all over, but certain spots concentrate them. In the Central Carolina Crappie championship, I caught 13.72 from 150ftx150ft area. 5 of my tourny fish came in the last hour from that area. The other 2 were earlier in the day, but right there.

Falls lake has always had smaller fish, as compared to Jordan and Harris. They’re too far away for me to fish now, so I spend all my time on Falls and Buggs. Had I known you all were having a tournament here, I wouldn’t have even started this thread. I hope everyone who took part in the tournament had a good time.

I fished 5 days last week and caught good fish everyday, plenty of 12”+ fish, and several hogs that were probably close to 2# I don’t own a scale, and you gotta be quick when dad starts cleaning fish.
