    Default Thom A Lex Crappie

Asking for a grandpa who wants to take the grandaughters (6 and 10years old) crappie fishing the Friday before Easter. Are there decent numbers of crappie in the lake? Do they sell minnows in the bait shop? Gpaw is 73 and would like to avoid the mayhem at the ramps on High Rock on Good
    Friday. Thanks

Yes and Yes. They will have a good time. If they get bored fishing, there is a nice playground there, also.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. They live in Kernnersville. Is Oak Hollow also a good option?

I've never been on Oak Hollow, so can't help on that one. Perhaps others will chime in.

Follow up from Gpaw. Good Friday trip with Allie, 10 and Elizabeth 6 to Oak Hollow was terrific. Bo biscuits on the water and then we found some good crappie. In the end which ever one had a fish on the other grabbed the net and netted it. Blessed Easter for sure!!!
