    Default Lake Hickory

Me and the wife are headed out to lake Hickory Sunday and Monday to do a little fishing for those elusive line siders! Anybody got any reports on what the stripers are doing there. Will post our results Tuesday. Might get to sneak in a little jig pulling for crappie but the wife loves Hickory stripers.

Not Hickory but close at Rhodhiss the other day I was crappie fishing and spoke to another guy and he was trolling for stripers and said he'd caught 2 all day. Im not a striper guy so I have no clue if that was a good or bad day, LoL.

Last week I took my jon boat to Dusty Ridge to check out the motor. Met a guy who had just found crappie at 8' in 20 fow. He was heading out to troll over at the campground/Reitzel cove. Water temp was 48 that day.

Got there this morning about 6:30 and it was cold. Said 24 degrees. Got the Alabama rigs out and within 15 minutes one got slammed. A nice 9 lb striper. I told the wife it was going to be a good day. Loaded up about 12 with 0 other bites and we fished the whole lower lake. Lol. Way it goes sometimes. At least that one was plenty big for supper.
