I was kinda worried about that, too, but none of the three depth finder units that have been on the boat & wired into the TM wiring have experienced any such interference. Trolling motor is a Motor Guide & all three units wired into it have been Lowrance (FWIW). Maybe I'm just lucky ... but, yeah I have heard about elec. interference caused by TM & even other units putting out the same signal strength (mHz same on both units).

I am sure the trolling motor interference was a lot worse with the older trolling motors. The newer ones are so full of electronics themselves. They have come a long ways to reduce trolling motor interference and boost efficiency

I have three currently but plan on changing over to LifePO4 batteries for the new TM when it come in. I will keep the cranking battery I have (wet cell) as Mercury doesn’t recommend using lithium batteries for cranking. I plan on going with either an AGM or lithium for the Livescope to power it separately.
