Good job on the jug. I bet that cat was glad to be free from that jug. I imagine he swam off with jug and they couldn't find it??? I agree though about making sure all are accounted for when leaving.
Tried pulling jigs for 3 or 4 hours Sunday morning early on Tillery. Tough bite. Really cold so guess the cold front pushed them down deep. Marked almost all the bait and fish in at least 25 fow right on the bottom so couldn't get jigs deep enough. Caught 4 or 5 smaller ones and tossed them back. Did find a jug someone left bobbing coming across the main lake with a 40 lb blue cat on it. Released him. He had been hooked so long algae was growing on the line. Don't know how he had survived. Hate when guys do that. If you set out 15 jugs don't leave until you have 15 jugs. Of course no name and address on the jug like the law says.

I've found them before when I used to jug fish, just by chance, wrapped up in a blowdown, just under the surface of the water. Glad you got him off and free.
Yea. Hate to see one that nice die for no reason. My wife pulled him up and said she would love to catch him on the rod and reel.
