My boat has been down for quite some time. Fishing has been limited to say the least.
Got out on Badin Tuesday and Friday. Put 44 good ones together on Tuesday tight lining minnows over deep brush in the main lake areas. Probably caught 65 to 70 fish. We got on such a large school we went to one rod in our hands. Bite was 15/20 feet.
Water temp was 83.
Friday was a different wind with different results. Put up 17, we caught lots of fish mostly throw backs. Water temp was 81.
Glad to be back sharing with you all.
I only fish the two best days of the year, when its raining and when its not!

Just like riding a bike. Glad you were able to get back on water and catch them.

Mac how did you do with the cats? Took a road trip Saturday to Santee just to look at different boat ramps and look around a little. Been probably 10 years since I fished it. Might go in the next few weeks.

Negative, on the scope you can see there suspended and everywhere, drift some corks about 15’-20’ over 40-60’ water on the circle drive side, FYI they’ll eat a jig too, I hope ya’ll catch everyone of them suckers
The outflow areas near the dam are great places for cats in the daytime. I don't like the Badin outflow area, just a bit to dangerous for my liking. The outflow into Tillery is much more suitable. I've anchored a couple hundred yards below the dam and do okay on smaller blues up to ten lbs or so. My best was 18 lbs. If you know how to get all the way up to the dam its even better with bigger fish.

Those big bruiser cats certainly like those tailwaters
