Thread: Fontana Lake

Hello NC! I'm from Mississippi and fish mainly the big 4, but I raft guide the Nantahala River the months of June and July. We stay at a camp ground called Almond boat and RV Park, on Fontana Lake. My question is this. How is the crappie fishing there, and is it worth me pulling my boat 7 hours for the summer? Thanks for any advice I can get.

I've never had a chance to fish up there but I would think it would be worth it. Even if you don't find anything there that you like there other lakes around that I hear hold good numbers of crappie.
Hope my thoughts gives you something. Maybe some of the guys that do fish up that way will give you something worth hearing.
