    Default Lake Norman 7/31

Tried another new spot last night. Bite was slow but around 11 it picked up a bit. Decided to call it a night at 1:00. Had 9 big enough to keep, I let them go, and caught about that many not big enough to keep. Name: IMG_20210801_004349592.jpg

    Looks like a decent night!

Turkeyfoot we need to get up one night soon on LKN. I keep thinking about going, and being 75yds from the lake, I’m not sure why I don’t, but then again, I’ve got a Miami drug lord wanna-be running his 40ft Danzi with twin 454s (so it sounds) up and down the lake by the house every night right after everything gets quiet and the pleasure boats get off the water. I swear one night I’m going to drive back around further to the back of Mountain Creek, figure out where he lives, and wait till he gets back, and in bed, and then crank my Husky 390XP or my ported 288XP Lite and just rev it up until I see lights flip on inside, then leave.

I get to itching for a night stalk, then without fail, every night, here comes Pablo Escobar’s boy running bricks about 10:30-11:00, and I’m glad I’m not out there being tossed around by that overgrown bathtub toy

Get a sling shot and practice on the windows. There's a big azz boat on Big Alison that will run 5 to 10 mph and make 4 foot wakes as he goes by and being on the pontoon that is a good ride! I agree you'll need to double team those crappies.

    Good job Brent!

I know a lot of people get frustrated with boats going too fast and too close by at night and I could do without some of that also, but boats just slowly going by don't do me any favors either. A couple times over the years a boat has went by not quite planed out and was the worst wake I ever dealt with and it got the anchors loose.

TreedNC we'll try and get together one night at Norman soon!

Yep that half wake stuff is the worst. Used to be the lake cleared off after dark for the most part. Not so much these days.
