Default Nutbush creek - Help needed

Taking my son (11) tomorrow morning to Nutbush boat landing on Kerr Lake. Coming from Raleigh direction, anyone know if there's a good place to get minnows close to lake before 7am?

Also, has anyone trolled this area recently? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you, Fishengineer

We went and caught a bunch of catfish.... anything trolled with glitter in the jig was gonna catch a catfish. We also caught 100's of white perch, kept 5 biggest for a dinner. Also caught a couple crappie but they were barely hitting the trolled jigs. Nothing big enough to keep.

Fished back of Nutbush and Little Nutbush. Saw several striper school blowups but they were gone by the time we got close enough to get a cast within range.

Fished 10-15 ft down in 10-30 ft of water.

Fun time... for me and my son.

    Tight lines, Fishengineer

Fished Nutbush probably 7 or 8 years ago and I remember lots of perch. I don't think we even caught a single crappie that day.
