Default Grenada lake Act with Shane 1980

Shane 1980 and I started prefishing Grenada on May 11th. These tourneys have a 30 day off limits period with 2.5 days of prefishing allowed. The fish we found were in 16-20’ water suspended. Let me tell you them white crappie down there don’t play. They engulf the bait you had to be quick on the hook set or they would swallow it. We saw fish back up almost a foot on the livescope and attack it like a bass. Beat all we ever seen. If you got the bait lined up 9/10 they hammered it. I sure wish the black crappie up here did that.

We found some great fish prefishing
In 4 spots. We felt like we could go 15.5-16 lbs each day. Day 1 of the tournament started off great catching 3 fish in the 2.25 lb range in the first hour and a half. Started to move to the second spot and bam lower unit gone. 10.5 hours away from home :-(. We trolled to 16-20’ water and made the best of it. Ended day 1 with 13.42. Second day we didn’t quit. Launched boat with no motor and just fished around the boat ramp. Ended up with 10.52 and was happy with thst. Needless to say not what we was hoping for but Sure had fun. Here’s some pictures for you guys to look at from our trip.

Thanks for the pictures and write-up on the trip. With losing your motor so early in the tournament, you guys did very well.

I'm sorry to learn about your engine. At least some of the fish came to you when you could no longer go to the fish.
I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could

Way to make the best out of it. Y'all have been doing pretty well with that livescope.
