    Default Where are the crappie

Fished tillery everyday this week so far. Wore them out on Monday trolling. Caught only 5 keepers yesterday trolling and 3 today trolling. Tried throwing jigs to bank and didn’t catch a fish. Any updates on Tillery/high rock/tuckertown???

The girls are showing up from to time. Caught some really nice fish yesterday. Best I've seen the last couple of years. Just need to cover some area and definitely cast and retrieve.

We were caught all of our fish earlier this week in 4 FOW or less on blowdowns at the bank. No great size to them though.

That sounds right to me. Smaller males setting it up for the big girls. I was finding the bigger fish flashing in and checking things out. Had success casting every direction with Monk's old favorite June Bug with chartreuse tail. Monk still giving.....

Fished high rock Thursday. Caught some fat girls in brush at the mouth of coves of the main lake in 15 to 20 FOW. Two over 15" and one over 16". Threw those 3 back and kept 10 Between 11" - 14" to filet. Seems some are still in deep water while others are spawning. Gotta look for them with the changing weather conditions. Good luck to all.

Water was changing from the storms when I fished Saturday. Had to switch to a brighter color. Pink and chartreuse, or white/yellow with chartreuse. They were really tight to the bank on shallower flats. Work it slow. Hope that helps.
