I'm not knocking live scope....I have crappie fished all my life, since I was 6 or 7 old, I just know from time on the water ,where to, look for them, I was catching them back when we had the old 2 d black & white units, when you would pick a cove and fish every dock till you find the crappie, once you learn a cove move to the next one, after a while you will know which ones hold crappie and you can make a run on just the ones with crappie and wear them out! I can fish a dock in 5 mins and tell you if there is crappie there, I dont play video games, never have and I'm not watching a screen to catch crappie either, but if thats what you want to do,I'm fine with that, I may change my mind some day, one thing about live scope is it will sorting the time in finding fish if you dont know the lake that well. If you catch a few the crappie will move over a few feet, I knew this, but with live scope you can see which way they went and move over to them quit where with out it you have to move around till you find them. I'm just used to the way I fish and like it. While you are watching the live scope and turning it to see the best picture I will have made 2 or 3 cast and pulled a few crappie out while watching you mess with the live scope....just saying....
But I do cheat some, I use side imaging to scan docks now, if I mark crappie under it ,I fish it, if not, I keep moving.

Sounds like a great trip. It's a rare day you get size and numbers like that.
