NC does not stock very many stripers. Why did they hold this event there? Lake Norman has more stripers. Bet more than 2 fish would have been caught. We are going to Clarks Hill and Russell for a few days next week to catch some stripers.

I prefished Wednesday and caught 1 good one 10.7lbs. Fished Thursday and caught 2..one about 7lbs and the other 5.5.
I knew Fridays snow would shut them down. Tournament day got to my spot and to my amazement, not 1 boat in sight....birds working hard, bait piled in there along with fiH. Worked that spot for 4 hrs and left pissed off. 1 catfish and had 1 slam my downrigger popping the clip but never get a hook in it. Damnit! Im still highly disappointed days later with the outcome.

The winners are great fisherman....dont knock on em. They got 2 bites and caught their fish.
Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
