I also want to ask a ? What do you guys do in this situation ,something has happened to me the last 2 trips to Jordan, I don’t know understand something we were catching fish in basically in a 30 ft stretch we would pull up let wind and current push us back to a certain spot and then go back up and drift back again, today a boat watched us catching fish and finally they slid in where we were drifting and anchored right in the middle where you could not even get around so I consider that pretty crappy, the other thing is they were fishing with corks about 4ft deep in 24ft of water. I just don’t understand it find your own fish, the last time I was doing exactly the same thing and a guy slid in and actually run his boat into my rods that’s how close he was, I have said a few words before, but since then I have decided that it is almost funny , and all I can do is laugh, sorry for the rant but oh well.

I’ve had them do the same thing to me. The way I figure it they’re jealous because they don’t know how to catch fish

Unfortunately, there are always a few bad folks out there. Definitely the minority, but is frustrating to have it happen. Nice thing is you have learned a pattern that is working and it will work in other places. Because we tournament fish on Jordan, we have literally fished from the dam to where the New Hope River goes up into the woods near Chapel Hill. I don't know of any area on the lake that we have not fished. Different seasons of the year the crappie are in different places, but you can create patterns that will work for you at any time of the year.

I had that happen on Hickory when I was trolling for stripers. Went over a spot a few times and picked up one every time. Another boat pulled up and anchored on the spot to fish with live bait after watching me. I went right down my original path within a foot of their boat and they had to reel in all the rods on that side. They started fussing and I just laughed and said I was here first and circled around to make another pass. They pulled up and moved.

It is very hard not to jump in their boat and handle it , but I can’t swim so if we go swimming I am screwed lol or wait for them in parking lot, but a fish is not worth it just laugh it off is what I keep saying lol

This brings a chuckle. I had a friend, (he died3 weeks ago from cancer) than had a similar incident on Kerr Scott a few years back. This guy and his brother both would not weigh 120 pounds a piece but had the grit of a pit bull ran into a bass fisherman one day while they were anchored fishing for crappie. The bass fisherman kept bugging them so they started cussing him out real good. Well, he got his boat a little too close and Willard slapped him with an oar. The guy fired up and left. They had another beer and laughed a little. About 20 minutes later a bass boat with 5 or 6 fishermen in it idled up to them and loaded their boat. Long story shot, Willard got his nose broke and his brother chipped his front tooth in the process. The guys wore them out, got back in their boat and left. I asked Willard what did he do, he said " Started fishing from the dock and kept my mouth shut"

That's not cool. I'm ok with other boats coming in close as there are plenty of fish, they might show me something I don't know (has happened many times), and we can chat a bit. But they need to be courteous and not get EXACTLY where it's obvious I'm fishing, and don't be an ass while we fish "together" :P
