Mixed feelings about it. While in my mind I've always wanted to be able to "see through" the water and see the fish, it seems this kind of fishing removes some of the mystery behind fishing which keeps it fun for me. I think the reason I keep fishing is I never actually master the hobby. No matter how often I do it, there is more to learn. After every trip, especially bad trips where there are zero or few fish caught, I rerun the trip through my head and come up with adjustments I should have made, techniques or spots I should have tried. With this technology it seems to eliminate a lot of what keeps me coming back. If you can see the good fish, drop a bait on their head and they don't want to eat, might as well turn around and go back home to do something else.
Most of the hobbies I dabble in get dropped as soon as I've reached a certain level of expertise. It's the learning that keeps me interested I guess. Maybe Live Scope has that too? I'm sure I'll own one eventually, when they come down in price.
