    Default Jordan 11/29

Started around daylight Sunday morning. Surface water temp was around 58 degrees, slightly up from earlier in week. Water was clear and down another two feet since the big rain. The crappie were tearing it up from around 630 to 0800 at 12 to 14 feet down in 20 foot plus deep water on minnows, jigs and jigs tipped with minnows. Then they took a break between 830 and 1000 and then started back up again but this time from 16 to 20 feet down in 26 foot or deeper water. I left around 100 pm and caught 38 Crappie, 30 white perch and a few catfish. At least 20 of the Crappie were a pound up to a pound and three quarters (12 plus inches). Had a great time and met some really nice folks, a few of them belong to this forum. I tried some of Ed Duke’s spinnie minnies (Southern Crappie Rods) and they produced well.

The pattern, depth and bite stated in your report is starting to sound a bit more like what it's supposed to be this time of year. It's been a bit slower gettin' there this year or so it seems.
Thanks for sharing your day on the water with the rest of us. I hope to see you on Jordan or Harris sometime.

Awesome report. When I was stationed at Fort Bragg I used to fish Jordan for Crappie with my PSG Steve.

Me Too. I'm taking the day off and bringing and old friend from High School. WRAL is showing wind out of the East @ 2mph. We'll see if that holds true.
