I went out Saturday with a friend and fished for about 5 hours. Weather was perfect with calm winds and mostly clear skys. Water was stained due to all the rain and water temp was 62-65ish. The fish were not active. Livescope allowed us to get right on the fish but they were not very receptive to our baits. We probably caught around 20 crappie with 4 being keeper size. My friend decided to run over to Washburns marina and get minnows but the minnows only yielded 2 crappie. Just to get some pullage we went to Eaton Ferry Bridge and dropped baits in front of the large blue cats around the bridge pilings. The other day the cats were very aggressive but Saturday we never even got a bite. It was great to get out and fish and I'm thankful for the fish we caught but how did you guys do who fished Saturday?
I haven't wet a hook in a long time. I need to get busy and get back out there on the water soon. I don't have live scope but I can find something to fish for. Glad you made it out and felt the tug.
