I have been using Rick Taylor Fishing Times for so many years. I'd give it 80%, right on.

I don't own or look at charts,That said fish when I want to.Any day is a good day as long as I don't get too wet.I am not leaving home to fish in the rain, but I have rain suits in the boat.Hunting??? different story but I still don't use a chart,I just go 30 or 40 times a year, sooner or later it will happen.

"I have always heard that if the cows are standing the fish will bight and if the cows are lying down the fishing would be poor"

So where is the best place to buy a cow, asking for a friend :-)

I'd recommend just living within sight of a farm with cows. It's kind of like having a friend with a nice boat? You get most of the benefit without the maintenance, upkeep, and investment. (I do own a boat).

Those apps and books, written by people who write books about fishing as opposed to just going fishing... Those people telling outdoorsmen when it is or isn't a good day to go fishing? Yeah, that's cute. Imagine getting one of those as a gift and trying to hide the cringe.
