NCkenner,
What do you consider a deep dock? Since they weren’t in the creek arms, can I assume you were on the main lake? Also, I mainly fish Norman. Hoping some of your experience might cross over there.

Took a couple buddies to High Rock today and probably caught 50-60. Fish were on deep docks and deep brush but not in the creeks arms. All were returned to bite another day.

Great catch and good on you for letting them bite another day.

NCkenner thanked you for this post
We were fishing in the Abbotts creek section of the lake which is a small lake of its own. I say that because when the main lake is full, most boats can't get under the hwy 8 bridge to get in/out. I didn't intend to be vague. In my mind, since Abbott's is where I normally fish when visiting HR, that's the main lake. Also, when I say deep on High rock, I mean 10 ft+. We didn't catch many shallower than that. I hope that helps you understand my damaged thought process.
Comparing Norman to High Rock is a tough comparison, as Norman is much deeper and has way fewer (but larger) crappie. I you want to learn how to catch crappie by just catching sheer numbers of fish, HR is the place to do it. It'll help you learn to watch your line for the jumps as I gets bit falling, the stops as it gets picked up falling, and is full of toons and docks for practicing your shooting skills.
Clear as mud?

Pretty fish. I love when the fins aren't torn. Sounds like a good trip.
Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
